Project management for museum expansion and relocation of heritage buildings

Core provided project management services to the City of Surrey for the Surrey Museum Expansion project, located at 17710 56A Avenue. This project provided the existing 21,000 sqft museum with an additional 12,000 sqft of building space. The addition has a new class A feature exhibits gallery, a new entry foyer, indigenous hall and art piece, and new children’s gallery as well as a workshop, storage, and collections spaces. This project also includes functional upgrades, including climate control upgrades to help preserve artifacts, and increase the building security system, including door lock upgrades and CCTV monitoring. The final phase of the project involved the relocation of 3 heritage buildings to create an educational heritage campus on the project site.
