Seaspan Ground Water Treatment Plant

Core provided project management services for the construction of a Ground Water Treatment Plant and conveyance system for Seaspan ULC and Domtar Inc. The plant and conveyance system is located within the Vancouver Shipyards site.

This fast-tracked project required the development of an alternative procurement method with construction beginning before design was fully complete. The work included the installation of 6 wells to pump ground water for treatment at the plant. The conveyance system consisted of 3 vaults (2 wells each) and piping across the entirety of the active shipyard. All construction activities were coordinated in close cooperation with the Vancouver Shipyard Operations team to ensure no impact or delay to their shipbuilding activities.
