Surrey Transit Centre Retrofit – CNG Upgrade

Core managed the STC Facility Retrofit and CNG Upgrade Project for TransLink/Coast Mountain Bus Company. The $18m project retrofitted (new HVAC, electrical and sprinkler systems) the existing facility to ensure it was safe to operate and maintain a new fleet of CNG buses.

At the same time the project added $5m of CNG infrastructure to service and fill the new fleet of CNG buses, with the maintenance building roof being replaced in conjunction with structural upgrades to support the new HVAC equipment. A new roof and exterior curtain wall replacement was also completed on the facility’s administration building. The project was phased to ensure the construction did not impact the 24/7 operation of the facility.
