Project management of transit facility expansion to support charging and maintenance of electric bus fleet

Core is overseeing the Port Coquitlam Transit Centre (PTC) Expansion project, as Program Manager. Core initially supported this project as the Project Manager for the design phase of the facility improvements and has recently transitioned to the role of Program Manager at the request of CMBC Executive.

The PTC Facility is being upgraded to support the charging, maintenance, and dispatch of Battery Electric Buses (BEB) whilst maintaining the services on their diesel fleet. PTC is a keystone project for TransLink’s climate change strategy and the goal of transitioning to a low-carbon bus fleet. The scope of the project includes: maintenance infrastructure to support introduction and servicing of Battery Electric Buses (BEB), maintenance capacity for fleet diversification, including servicing double decker buses reconstruction of bus wash to accommodate double decker buses, and refurbishment and modernization of staff office space and amenities.
