On behalf of the District of Saanich, Core is currently providing project management services for construction of their new Fire Station #2.
The project involves the multi-phased demolition of the existing 3800 sq ft hall and redeveloping the site into a new two storey 24,000 sq ft hall while maintaining operations throughout construction. The new facility will provide 5 apparatus bays, offices and lodgings, meeting and committee rooms, and extensive training facilities to function as the District’s primary training location. The project is targeting LEED Gold certification, Energy Step Code Level 2, CaGBC Zero Carbon, Wood-first mass timbre construction, and Net-Zero energy consumption within a budget of $26.6 M.
