Saanich Fire Station #2

On behalf of the District of Saanich, Core is currently providing project management services for the construction of their new Fire Station #2. The project involves the multi-phased demolition of the existing 3,800 square foot hall and redeveloping the site into a new two-storey 24,000 sqft hall while maintaining operations throughout construction.

The new facility will provide 5 apparatus bays, offices and lodgings, meeting and committee rooms, and extensive training facilities to function as the District’s primary training location. The project is targeting LEED Gold certification, Energy Step Code Level 2, CaGBC Zero Carbon, Wood-First mass timber construction, and Net-Zero energy consumption.
