Project management for trail construction with Squamish First Nation and City of North Vancouver

Core Project Management provided project management services to the Squamish First Nation and the City of North Vancouver on a new 215m segment of the North Shore Spirit Trail between Mosquito Creek Marina and Bewicke on Squamish Nation reserve lands.

This was the final link in establishing continuous connection between Park and Tilford in North Vancouver and Ambleside in West Vancouver. The trail follows along the shore of Burrard Inlet, westward from the Mosquito Creek Marina office building, traversing underneath a rebuilt boat lift, following south along the dyke, and then crossing over Mosquito Creek with a pedestrian/cyclist bridge to connect to the Bewicke section of the Spirit Trail. Work included a new pile-supported pre-cast tunnel structure, boat lift and significant creek protection including retaining walls and rip-rap installation.
